Only 17 minutes after the race started, the skilled rider luckily saved what seemed to be a fall and slide crash by digging his right knee and elbow into the tarmac. It so stopped the front tire from sliding and the Yamaha YZR-M1 was back in the race and going strong. Simply beautiful!

The 250cc Spanish GP was absolutely breathtaking. The wide audience on the hills of Jerez de la Frontera was incredulous up until the end, when the race turned out in the most unthinkable way. It certainly wasn't an easy Grand Prix of Spain for the two Ducati MotoGP Team riders at the tricky Jerez circuit but a show of character and determination.
