After releasing the onboard video of the all-new 2009 S1000RR, BMW now shows both the street and competition Superbike version in yet another official video racing together where they belong: on the track. It is amazing how Beemer ambitioned to cover the crucial racing and market segments at a time, but 2009's results (both time laps and sales charts) are eagerly expected as they will most likely speak for themselves. A racing motorcycle with headlights such as the 2009 Kawasaki ZX6R couldn't find a better place for a commercial than the track, but Kawi goes even further and visualizes an Area 51 sort of environment. That is very inspired as the characteristic color for these bikes is Green. Permalink | Comments

America's youngsters in between 18 and 25 are offered the opportunity to win a 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA motorcycle through a youth program of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. But don't think it's that easy as they will first have to subscribe to an Essay Contest and then the lucky winner should rebuilt its prize from scratch with parts sent in from all over the country. Even though the SEMA show in Vegas is mostly about cars, motorcycle tuners also get their fair share of attention from organizers and this is how we end up amazed by the new creations that appear every year. And if you take in consideration the haste in which these bikes are built, we end up appreciating these true works of art even more. Shinya Nakano now completes Aprilia's team for the 2009 World Superbike Championship after signing a contract for 2009 with the possibility to carry over to 2010. The event took place yesterday after the racer visited the Racing Department of Noale. Damco rim lights were designed by Repeat Offenders sportbike club in order to add a custom touch to their bikes and now are available for sale all over the United States. The lights fit all Suzuki GSX-R and Katana models and require no drilling, neither removing the rims as mounting operations. For the moment, they are available in three stand-out colors: Red, Blue and White. One kit includes enough lights to do front and rear rims and costs $195.00.
