Rider-less Electric Motorcycle to challenge MotoGP bikes

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Igarashi Design’s riderless robotically controlled motorcycle

Igarashi Design has come up with basically a motorcycle robot concept that will supposable be able to match the performance of MotoGP bikes without any human being actually riding it. The work of computer graphics designer Yutaka Igarashi, this remote controlled motorcycle features a swinging boom instead of a rider while power comes from an electric motor. As the charm of MotoGP consists in team work and riding skills, I can't see how this concept would hack that with the amazing goal of (...)

Motorcycle stunt gone wrong

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

This rider apparently goes for a backflip, but doesn't manage to complete the rotation and falls into a strategically positioned swimming pull. Although his cat like instincts ensure he goes with the feet down, his aim isn't that accurate and hits the edge of the swimming pull with his right side. That's got to hurt, but he'll live for a second attempt…though we can't say the same thing about the (...)

Harley-Davidson Sportster Rider vs Bee

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Harley-Davidson knows that their Sportster models don't look that good with a windscreen on, but they weren't meant to do so in the first place so why bother. Still, riders are taking these bikes on the interstate where they happen to encounter different problems. The American manufacturer's response is damn funny and it results from the video attached below.

What a waste!

Garden Decoration

This has got to be someone's idea of a green motorcycle! Can any of you motorcycle owners out there even consider harnessing your two-wheeled machines like that? Except landscapers, I reckon you don't too so it kills me to see this cruiser abandoned and yet so good being cared off. He's got to at least unveil that V-Twin motor!

The Blastolene Hemi-powered trike would make any dragster jealous

Blastolene Hemi-powered trike

Outrageous is THE way to go nowadays if willing to stand out as a builder and Blastolene makes an excellent demonstration with their latest creation, a trike powered by an immense Hemi V8 engine. Displayed at the Grand National Roadster Show, this three-wheeler founded hard to pass unnoticed, not only because of the motor that usually powers hot rods and/or dragsters, but also because of the unusual dimensions (in other words, it is damn long) and the amazing fit and finish despite the fact (...)

Who forgot to tighten the nuts?

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Suzuki with lost wheels

The question in the title comes a little late as this Suzuki dirt rider is already in the process of separating himself from the bike in order to avoid becoming one with it when this hits the ground. You see, wheel travel means nothing when your mechanic forgets to tighten up the nuts. And so, another rightful question emerges: who's getting away alive after this, the rider or the (...)

Harley-Davidson Iron 883 gets promotional video

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Harley's latest addition to their Dark Custom lineup – the Iron 883 – is nothing more than a blacked-out, stripped-down Sportster which addresses to the younger crowd, but it sure rocks. In the promotional video, the bike is presented as being perfect for commuting, cruising and even to be ridden down the drag track in the weekends. And by the way, becoming a part of the exclusive Harley-Davidson club requires no password apart from the machine's $7,899 (...)
